Over three decades, Whitby Goth Weekend has evolved from a small meetup into one of the most recognisable and enduring independent cultural events in the UK and Revenant has emerged as part of that continuing evolution. Growing quickly from an alternative live-music fringe event into an accessible daytime hub for the gothic and alternative communities during Whitby Goth Weekend.
Hosted by Stars & Moon, Revenant at The Royal Hotel contributes to a grassroots festival ecosystem, one fuelled by connection & creativity. Our mission is to celebrate diversity, build community and encourage creativity by providing a welcoming space shaped by inclusivity, cultural participation and artistic expression.
In addition to the ticketed live music events in the evening, during the day you will find a schedule of music & art performances, galleries and exhibitions, informal daytime social lounges, community-led meet-ups, family activities, and pop up performances where members of the gothic & alternative community can participate and enjoy. There’s something for everyone.
